Avinox has officially launched the new propulsion units M2S and M2, continuing the direction set by M1, but with even more aggressive figures. The new flagship, M2S, reaches up to 1500 W and 150 Nm, while M2 hits 1100 W and 125 Nm. The message is clear: Avinox is not just trying to keep up with the full-power segment, but to push the performance ceiling even higher.
According to the official announcement, M2S also offers 130 Nm and 1300 W in continuous mode, while M2 maintains a more moderate position, yet still surpasses many established benchmarks in the market. Both motors remain compact, weighing approximately 2.59 kg for M2S and 2.65 kg for M2.
More power, but also more flexible batteries and control

An important part of the launch is the expansion of the ecosystem. Avinox adds a new integrated battery, FP700, with 700 Wh, designed for bikes with a slim downtube, as well as the first detachable batteries in the range: RS800 and RS600. RS800 offers 800 Wh at approximately 4 kg, while RS600 comes with 600 Wh and about 2.96 kg. RS600 can also function as an external range extender on certain bikes.
On the charging side, Avinox talks about GaN fast charging, with a stated time of 1 hour and 16 minutes for 0-80% on the new 700 Wh battery. For riders who value electronics and control, two new OLED displays, DP100-F and DPC100, are introduced, featuring functions like turn-by-turn navigation, pulse-based assistance adjustment, and integration with Apple Find My on certain configurations.
Less noise, less drag
Alongside the power increase, Avinox claims to have worked on refinement as well. The official statement promises a noise level of no more than 45 dBA, and M2S receives a construction aimed at reducing play in the transmission and pedal kickback noise. M2 uses helical gears to limit bumps and rattling on uneven terrain.

And Pinkbike notes that the new motors are not only more powerful but also more refined, with reduced noise and a more discreet operation on descents. At the same time, the power increase comes with a logical warning: if you frequently use the highest modes, the battery drains quickly. In short, Avinox delivers more force, but the physics remains the same.
The launch doesn't come alone
Perhaps the most important signal of the day is not just the motor, but adoption. Avinox states that over 60 partners in the industry have already integrated the new systems, and the list includes names like Amflow, Atherton, BH, Canyon, Commencal, Crestline, Forbidden, Megamo, Mondraker, Pivot, Propain, Rotwild, Thömus, Unno, and Whyte.
This makes the launch of M2S/M2 more than just a motor upgrade: it is the moment when Avinox tries to transition from a highly discussed system to a truly significant platform in the industry.
