Good news for the MTB community! If you’ve been eagerly waiting to hit the trails, it’s time to get your bike ready. Bikepark Azuga officially opens the season, and the organizers have sorted out all the details so we can fully enjoy the descents, dust, and flow.
How do we ascend? Gondola vs. Shuttle 🚠
This year, the team at Azuga has structured the lift system to meet the needs of all riders, no matter which day of the week you choose to go to the mountains:
Gondola: Will operate on all weekends and on summer holiday days.
Shuttle: During the rest of the time (on weekdays, outside of holidays), lifts are provided by shuttle.
Bonus for “late riders”: If you push yourself on the weekend and want to catch one last ride after the gondola closes, the organizers will provide a shuttle after 4:00 PM, usually ensuring another 1-2 lifts for those who can’t get enough of the trails.
Prices and Passes: How much will it cost us? 💸
Regarding costs, the rates for gondola lifts are as follows:
Day pass (Adults): 170 lei
Day pass (Children): 140 lei
Do you already have a gondola pass for that day? Perfect! This comes with a great advantage at the end of the day. If you’re the type of rider who doesn’t want to leave the trails and want to catch the shuttle lifts after 4:00 PM (when the gondola closes), your gondola pass gives you a discount on the shuttle. So, ride hard all day and enjoy a well-deserved discount in the evening!
Meet & Greet: See you Saturday on the trails! 🤝
The BIKEVERSE team will be on duty! If you come to Azuga on Saturday, look for us on the trails or at the base because we can’t wait to ride together!
